Ted Fowler (“TJ”) began his training earning his Basic Emergency Medical Technician at LifeCare Training Academy (LCTA) in 2008 under Kathy Justy’s instruction. After completing his EMT-B, TJ went directly into Paramedic school at LCTA under Mark Dailey’s instruction and graduated as a Nationally Registered Paramedic in 2010. TJ began his EMS career at LifeCare Ambulance as primary emergency response for the City of Lorain. Additionally, in 2011, TJ began working for LaGrange Township Fire & EMS. TJ’s leadership and clinical excellence earned him the title of Crew Chief in 2014. TJ’s endeavor as a lifelong learner continued in 2016 when he began working with Metro Life Flight on their Critical Care Transport team and in 2018 TJ completed and passed his Fight Paramedic exam.
In addition to TJ’s experiences in the urban EMS environment and critical care transport, TJ is an avid outdoorsman and is a certified range safety officer. TJ enjoys planning and implementing cold weather survival training, firearm safety and ballistics training. His unique approach of incorporating urban, rural, critical care and wilderness emergency training helps his students prepare for a variety of different EMS career opportunities.
