The Emergency Medical Technician program at Premier Health & Safety Academy is accredited both nationally and by the State of Ohio.  This program is the entry level training for the professional pre-hospital care provider.  Students that successfully complete this program are eligible to sit for the National Registry of EMTs examination; this National Registry exam is required for State of Ohio EMT Certification. EMT certification is required by the State of Ohio to continue on to Advanced EMT or Paramedic level.

EMTs are trained in all phases of basic life support.  We strive for student success in both didactic and clinical areas of the course.  Students are instructed in stabilization of non-life-threatening situations, trauma assessment and management, airway control, immobilization, and the automatic external defibrillator (AED).
